Youth Carrying a Weapon Threatens Another Youth Near the Keystone Grounds

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

On September 16th at 8:19 pm, Police received a call of a youth being threatened in the area of the Keystone Grounds. Upon arrival, Police noted a 15-year-old youth fleeing from the area. Police were able to catch up to the youth after a short foot pursuit and in search of this individual, Police located a knife. As a result of this incident, a 15-year-old youth was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

 

Warrant Executed

On September 16th at 8:00 am a 31-year-old woman from Brandon turned herself in at the Brandon Police Station after she became aware of an outstanding warrant. The woman had a warrant for possession of a controlled substance as well as breach of a release order. The woman was held overnight for court the following day.

 

Breach of Undertaking

On September 16th at 11:30 am a 30-year-old Brandon man attended the Brandon Police Station after he became aware of an outstanding warrant. The man was aware that he had a warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card as well as possession of property obtained by crime. The man was subsequently released from custody on an undertaking.

 

Warrant Executed

On September 16th at 11:30 am the Brandon Police Service received a call from the Virden RCMP indicating that a 23-year-old Brandon woman had just turned herself into their detachment after she became aware of a warrant for failing to attend court. The woman was subsequently released on an appearance notice to appear in court on November 16th, 2022.  

 

IPDA

On September 16th at 10:06 am the Brandon Police Service received a complaint about a female lying on the side of a street in the south end of Brandon. Upon arrival, Police located a 20-year-old woman who was highly intoxicated and as a result, she was held at Brandon Police Service until sober and subsequently released from custody.

 

Warrant Executed

On September 16th at 2:14 pm, Portage RCMP contacted Brandon Police Service and advised that they had arrested a 25-year-old man on the strength of a Brandon Police Service Warrant. This individual was subsequently released on an appearance notice and will appear in court on November 14th, 2022.

 

Theft Under

On September 16th at 2:22 pm, Brandon Police Service attended to a theft complaint at a business in the 1500 block of 18th street. Police discovered that a 35-year-old Brandon man had stolen approximately $70.00 worth of groceries and had fled the store prior to Police arrival. This individual was located a short distance away where he was arrested and subsequently released on an appearance notice to appear in Brandon court on November 10th, 2022.

 

Unendorsed Warrant Executed

On September 16th at 4:17 pm, members of the Brandon Police Service located at 30-year-old Brandon man, who was known by officers to have an outstanding Warrant. Police located this individual in the 700 block of Rosser and arrested him on the strength of the warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of property obtained by crime. This individual was held for court the following day.

 

Breach of Probation

On September 16th at 7:29 pm, Police received a complaint of an individual attempting to steal items from a business in the 200 block of 1st Street. As police arrived on the scene, the 29-year-old Brandon man was returning with the items, however, police noted he had a drywall saw concealed in his jacket. As a result of this incident, the man was charged with breaching his probation as well as possession of a weapon. The man was subsequently released on an undertaking and will appear in Brandon Court on November 14th, 2022.

 

 

Warrant Executed

On September 16th at 6:33 pm, the Winnipeg Police Service contacted the Brandon Police Service to advise that they had arrested a 28-year-old woman who now resides in Winnipeg on the strength of a Brandon Police Service warrant for breach of probation and fail to attend court. The woman was released on an appearance notice to appear in Brandon Court on November 10th, 2022.

 

Mischief to Property

On September 17th at 00:43 am, Police were approached by a security guard in the 1500 block of 18th street who had reported that a male subject had indicated to them that he had just broken a window out of two businesses in the area. Police located the 32-year-old man from Brandon, who indicated to Police that he did in fact break the windows out. The man was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Service to be released when sober on an undertaking.

 

Warrant Executed

On September 17th at 3:09 am, Brandon Police Service received a call from Winnipeg Police Service, who advised that they had arrested a 25-year-old man at their point on the strength of a Brandon Police Service warrant. The man was subsequently released on an appearance notice to appear in Brandon Court on November 14th, 2022.
