Woman Refused Service at West End Store Prior to DUI Charge

Impaired Driving/Drive Over .08

On February 9th, 2023 a staff member to a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue reported to police that a female had been refused service due to her level of intoxication.  Police located the suspect in the area and determined her to be impaired by alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. 

 

Upon notification of her arrest the accused resisted the attempts made my police to take her into custody. The female was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving as well as Resist Arrest, and subsequently conveyed to BPS for Breath Tests where she provided samples which were in excess of 2.5 X the legal limit.  A check of police records showed the accused to be prohibited from operating a motor vehicle due to a recent conviction for Impaired Driving. 

 

The 35 year old female was lodged at BPS and will be released once sober with conditions to appear in court February 16th, 2023 for the following charges:  Impaired Driving, Drive Over .08 mg, Resist Arrest, and Operation of Motor Vehicle while Prohibited.
