Woman Fights Police During a Disturbance Call

Obstruct Peace Officer

On November 2, 2022, at approximately 5:45 a.m, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 1100 block of 7th street.  There were reports that someone had been sprayed with bear mace near the home, and that one of the individuals may be in possession of a firearm.

Police contained the residence and eventually convinced the occupants of the home to exit on their own; however, a 22-year-old female who exited proceeded to fight with police and was uncooperative. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on January 3, 2023, on a charge of Obstruct Peace Officer. 

A 20-year-old male was also arrested due to outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court, and Fraud Under $5000.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his level of intoxication and will be released to appear in court on January 3, 2023.

The occupants would not cooperate with police concerning the weapon allegations.

 

Arrest Warrants

On November 2, 2022, police located and arrested a 28-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000.  He was later released and will appear in court on December 12, 2022.

On November 3, 2022, police located and arrested a 23-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  She was later released and will appear in court on January 12, 2023.

On November 3, 2022, police conducted a vehicle stop shortly before 1:00 am in the 4000 block of McTavish Ave.  The driver was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.  The 33-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On November 3, 2022, police conducted a traffic stop shortly before 2:00 am in the 800 block of 22 street.  A passenger was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Operate Conveyance While Prohibited and Fail to Attend Court X2.  The 42-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

 

Breach of the Peace

On November 3, 2022, at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male looking into windows in the 1500 block of 3rd street.  Police located the 32-year-old male and lodged him at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from continuing.
