Aggravated Assault
On March 11, 2023, police responded to a report of an assault in a residence at approximately 11:30 pm. Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old female stabbed an adult male during a fight. The male is being treated in the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. She will be released once sober to appear in court on April 20, 2023 on charges of Aggravated Assault, and Assault with a Weapon.
Theft Under $5000
On March 11, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, police responded to a report of a male suspect who attended to a restaurant in the 1200 block of 18th street, and left without paying for his meal. The male also stole a cell phone from one of the employees. Police were able to locate and arrest the 33-year-old male by using the find my phone app on the stolen phone. He was later released and will appear in court on a later date on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fraudulently Obtaining Food.
Arrest Warrant
On March 11, 2023, police located and arrested a 37-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges o Fail to Attend Court. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
