Woman Assaults Police Officer While Resisting Arrest

Assault P.O. and Resist Arrest

On March 1, 2023, police attended a residence in the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue to arrest a 37-year-old female on outstanding charges of Assaulting a Peace Officer and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. 

 

During the arrest, the female became resistive and pushed the police officer.  A struggle ensued; however, the female was eventually restrained and arrested without further incident.  As a result, the female was also arrested for Assaulting a Peace Officer and Resting Arrest. 

 

She was later released on an Appearance Notice and she is scheduled to appear in court in May. 

 


 

 

Breach of Court Order

On March 1, 2023, police received a report of an inmate at Brandon Correctional Center (BCC) breaching a condition of his Court Order.  The 39-year-old male inmate attempted to send a letter to a female who he is not supposed to communicate with.  Police arrested the male for Breach of Court Order.  He remains in custody at BCC and he is scheduled to appear in court today.     

 


 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On March 1, 2023, police received a complaint of an intoxicated female at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue.  The female had also been previously banned from the business.  Members attended and arrested the 31-year-old female for Failing to Comply with a Release Order.  She was lodged at the Brandon Police Service and she is scheduled to appear in court today. 

 

 


 

Unlawfully in a Dwelling House   

On March 1, 2023, police received a report of a female who was unlawfully in a residence in the 300 block of Louise Avenue.  On February 10, 2023, there had been a fire in the residence and everyone was evicted and the house was boarded up.  Members attended and located a 28-year-old female inside the residence.  She was arrested for being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House.  She was later released and she is scheduled to appear in court in April. 

 


 

Arrest Warrants

On March 1, 2023, police attended a residence in the 00 block of 8th Street and arrested a 43-year-old female who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Fail to Appear in Court. She was lodged at the Brandon Police Service and she is scheduled to appear in court today.

 


 

 

On March 1, 2023, a 35-year-old male attended BPS to turn himself in for an outstanding charge of Fail to Appear in Court.  He was lodged at the Brandon Police Service and he is scheduled to appear in court today.

 


 

 

On March 1, 2023, police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of 10th Street.  A 36-year-old male passenger was found to be wanted on an outstanding charge of Failing to Comply with a Sex Offender Information Registration Order.  He was lodged at the Brandon Police Service and he is scheduled to appear in court today.

 


 

 

On March 2, 2023, police located and arrested a 28-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Breach of Probation.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice and he is scheduled to appear in court in May.
