Wind Warning in effect for:
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. A fast moving Alberta clipper will give severe westerly or northwesterly wind gusts to portions of southern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba this afternoon. Sustained winds of 60 to 70 km/h with gusts of 90 to 100 km/h will be possible by mid day today persisting into the afternoon and early evening.
The winds will ease later on this evening. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Utility outages may occur.
