Victim Struck In The Head Repeatedly Before Assailants Steal Her Phone

Armed Robbery

At 9:17 am on Thursday morning, Police responded to the 800 block of Pacific Avenue for a call of a female being struck in the head with a pipe. It was learned that after being struck in the head repeatedly, the cell phone she was carrying was taken from her. The 31-year-old female victim was transported to BRHC to receive medical treatment. A 28-year-old female and a 25-year male were located and arrested in relation to this offence. Both appeared in court Friday.

Damage to Property

At 5:39 pm Police received a report of a female suspect throwing a rock, breaking a window on a property in the 200 block of 15th street and fleeing the area before Police arrived. Later in the evening, the 47-year-old female suspect from Brandon was located, arrested and released to appear in court in October.

 

Armed Robbery

At 9:43 pm, Police received a call from a male indicating that he had just been robbed at knifepoint in the 3700 block of Victoria Avenue. The victim was in the process of selling a cell phone when the suspect pulled a knife from his waistband, keeping the phone and telling the victim to leave. The suspect is described as being approximately 6’ tall, Caucasian or Metis in appearance, wearing a red hoodie and a medical mask. The incident is still under investigation.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 3:30 pm, Police received a report of a possible impaired driver entering Brandon on Highway 1A. The vehicle was located and the 42-year-old female driver from Winnipeg was found to have 2 outstanding Warrants for her arrest. She was later released for court on November 15th, 2022, in Winnipeg.

Breach of Court Order

At 4:48 am, police attended to a business in the 3700 block of Victoria Avenue after receiving a call of an intoxicated male harassing customers and refusing to leave. The 36-year-old male suspect from Pukatawagan, MB was found to be in breach of 2 conditions on his Release Order.  He was held in custody for court in the morning.
