On March 21, 2023, police received a report of an assault, which took place in the laundry room of an apartment building on Cornel Bay on March 20, 2023.
Investigation revealed a female youth was assaulted by several other female youth, and the incident was captured on security footage.
On March 22, 2023, police arrested a 12-year-old female suspect while she was in custody at BCC on another matter. She will appear in court on April 18, 2023 on charges of Assault and Mischief.
A 13-year-old female was also arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court on charges of Assault, Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
Forcible Confinement
On March 6, 2023, police received a report of an assault, which took place on December 11, 2022 at a residence. Investigation revealed that the 39-year-old male suspect repeatedly assaulted the adult female victim and would not allow her to leave the home until she managed to escape on December 12, 2022.
The suspect was arrested at BCC where he was in custody on unrelated matters. He will appear in court today on charges of Forcible confinement and Assault.
Assault Cause Bodily Harm
On March 22, 2023, police received a report of an assault, which took place in a residence on March 11 and March 13, 2023. Investigation revealed that the suspect repeatedly assaulted an adult female victim by biting and kicking her. The 47-year-old male was located and arrested yesterday. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault X2 and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
IPDA
On March 22, 2023, shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female passed out in a restaurant in the 1000 block of Middleton Ave. The 26-year-old female was in no condition to care for herself, so she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
On March 22, 2023 shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female outside of a residence in the 500 block of 13th. The homeowner didn’t know the female, and she was in no condition to care for herself. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Breach of the Peace
On March 23, 2023 shortly before 2:00 am, police responded to a disturbance at a residence. Police discovered that an intoxicated 41-year-old male was responsible for the issues. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent the situation from continuing.
Arrest Warrant
On March 22, 2023, a 22-year-old male was arrested at the Brandon Court House on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court X2, Impaired Driving and Drive over 80mg%. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
