The Portage Terriers have acquired F Kaden Kohle (02) from the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) for the CJHL rights to F Rhys Raeside (03) and future considerations.
Kohle (6’3, 201) started his junior career at 16 years old with the Tri-City Americans (WHL) and was moved to the Vancouver Giants (WHL) halfway through his second year. He began this season with the Flin Flon Bombers and had one assist and 18 PIM through seven games.
“Kohle has played close to 200 games in the WHL and will provide a physical presence,” says Terrier Head Coach and GM Blake Spiller. “We will look to him to chip in offensively as well.”
Raeside had seven points in eight games for the Terriers during the abbreviated 2020/21 MJHL regular season. He has also spent time with the Winnipeg Ice (WHL) and Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL).
The Terriers are off to a hot start with this 2022-23 season with 7 wins and one loss good for second in the MJHL. Their next action is tonight in Neepawa when they take on the Titans at the Yellowhead Centre. A win tonight would be the fifth in a row for the Terriers.
