Teen Suspect Is The Lone Victim In Bear Mace Incident

Bear Mace Incident – Suspect Arrested

On July 13, 2022 shortly after 9:00 pm, police received multiple reports of a male in the area of the 100 block of Princess Ave E. who was in possession of bear mace. He had attended to several residences in the area and caused a commotion by throwing things around. However, the only person who was sprayed with the bear mace was himself. He used a tap in one of the yards to attempt to rinse himself off.

Police located and arrested the 15-year-old male youth who was still in possession of the bear mace. He was also to abide by conditions not to possess any weapons and to observe a daily 7 pm curfew.

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Failing to Comply with Undertaking X2.
