Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth
On November 8, 2022, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Louise Ave, as the driver was speeding through a school zone. The 36-year-old male was found to be prohibited from driving and was arrested.
Further investigation in the suspect found he was in possession of 2.5 ounces of Meth. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Drive Prohibited, Fail to Comply with Release Order X2, and CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On November 9, 2022 shortly before 3:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Louise Ave. Police observed property inside the vehicle that they knew to be stolen and the driver and passenger were arrested.
Further investigation led police to discover that the 28-year-old male driver was in possession of a machete contrary to a court order not to possess any weapons. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Fail to comply with Release Order.
The 30-year-old female passenger was later released and will appear in court on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime at a later date.
Theft Under $5000
On November 9, 2022 shortly before 5:00 am, police came across two individuals stealing a bicycle from the back of a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Queens Ave. Both individuals were arrested.
The 24-year-old male suspect will appear in court on January 9, 2023 on charges of Theft Under $5000, Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
The 19-year-old female suspect will appear in court on January 9, 2023 on a charge of Theft Under $5000. The bicycle was returned to the owner.
Breach of the Peace
On November 8, 2022, police responded to a report of a female causing a disturbance in a residence shortly after 6:00 am. Family members were struggling to prevent her actions from escalating as she was under the influence of illicit drugs. The 30-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Arrest Warrants
On November 8, 2022, police located and arrested a 38-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000. He was later released to appear in court on January 3, 2023.
