Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault
On the morning of 2023-03-10, police responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Lorne Avenue E as the resident reported that a male was actively attempting to break into her apartment. Police interrupted the male and engaged in a brief foot chase as the suspect fled.
The suspect was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of jewelry which was inside the female’s apartment. Further investigation revealed that the male is known to the female and that she had previously obtained a protection order against him. In addition, investigators are led to believe that male had intentions to sexually assault the female.
The 30-year-old male was arrested and conveyed to BPS where he proceeded to assault an arresting officer by spitting at him. The male was lodged and BPS to appear in court 2023-03-10 for the charges of Breach of Protection Order, Break, Enter with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault, Break, Enter and Theft, Assault Police Officer, and Public Mischief.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth
On the evening of 2023-03-09, police attended to an address in the 800 block of Frederick Street to conduct a CDSA search warrant. A 35-year-old female was found to be in possession of meth with an approximate street value of $1000, in addition to scales and packaging materials. The female was lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-10.

On the morning of 2023-03-09, police conducted a check of a male in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest. A 34-year-old female was arrested and released to appear in court 2023-04-20.

On the morning of 2023-03-09, police attended to an address on Alpine Bay to conduct a check for a male known to have outstanding warrants. A 35-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court 2023-04-20.

On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police attended to an address in the 400 block of 8th Street on an unrelated matter. A check of police records showed an occupant of the home to have an outstanding warrant. A 46-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-10.

On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a male in the 100 block of 7th Street. A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest. A 39-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court 2023-05-11.

On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a male in the 400 block of 8th Street. A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest. A 44-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-10.

On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police attended to an address in the 200 block of College Avenue to conduct a check for a male known to have an outstanding warrant. A 67-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear in court 2023-03-10.

On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police attended to an address in the 400 block of Richmond Avenue to conduct a check for a male known to have an outstanding warrant. A 49-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court 2023-05-11.
Robbery/Assault
On February 21, 2023, police received a report of a youth who had been chased by a group of girls and had her backpack stolen near a high school in Brandon. One of the suspects was identified as a 15-year-old female.
On February 24, 2023, a youth victim was assaulted by the same 15-year-old female at a business in the 2600 block of Victoria Avenue. On March 9th, 2023, the 15-year-old female attended to BPS where she was arrested and released with conditions to appear in court 2023-04-18 for the charges of Robbery and Assault.
Breach of Peace
On the afternoon of 2023-03-09, police attended to the 1500 block of 18th Street after receiving a report of an intoxicated male that was wandering in and out of traffic. To ensure the 32-year-old male’s well-being, he was arrested and lodged at BPS until sober.
Warrant
While conducting the above notice search warrant an occupant of the residence was discovered to have an outstanding warrant of arrest. A 28-year-old female was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-10.
Impaired/Refusal
On the evening of 2023-03-09, police received a report of an impaired driver in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated approximately 3 kms West of Brandon and the female operator was determined to be impaired by alcohol. The operator was arrested and conveyed to BPS where she was given the opportunity to provide samples of her breath. The 33-year-old female refused to provide required samples and will be released when sober to appear in court 2023-04-13 for the charges of Impaired Driving and Refusal to Provide Breath Sample.
Breach of Peace
On the evening of 2023-03-09, police attended to the 1200 block of Stickney Avenue for a report of a male that was intoxicated and banging on doors to residences. Police attempted to turn the subject over to family members with negative results. A 22-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS until sober.

On the morning of 2023-03-10, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a male in the 700 block of Victoria Avenue. A check of police records revealed the male to have an outstanding warrant. A 28 year old male was arrested and released with conditions to appear in court 2023-05-08.
