Sports Complex and Library Design on Agenda For Upcoming Rosser Ward Meeting

ROSSER WARD MEETING SCHEDULED

 

Brandon City Councillor Kris Desjarlais welcomes one and all to the public meeting for Ward No.2 (Rosser Ward) on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. In keeping with his open-door policy to ensure an open and transparent city hall, Desjarlais who is currently in his second term as Rosser Ward councillor hopes this ward meeting will not only serve as an information session but as an idea-sharing think tank of sorts the general public can take part in.

 

For nearly eight years Desjarlais has been a pillar on the city council who strives not only for the betterment of downtown Brandon but an ambassador who is committed to building a strong and vibrant city through improved infrastructure and steady growth. Along with his Rosser Ward duties, Councillor Desjarlais is also the Directory of Indigenous Education at Assiniboine Community College. He is involved in the following committees, boards and community organizations:

 

  • Brandon Downtown Development Corporation

  • Brandon Urban Aboriginal Peoples’ Council

  • Personnel Committee

  • Poverty Committee

 

In keeping with one of his platform promises of supporting equity and opportunity for all, Desjarlais has personally extended an invitation to all Brandonites regardless of which ward they reside in to be a part of this upcoming ward meeting.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the following items: 

·       Downtown Task Force 

·       Park Community Centre 

·       Outdoor Sports Complex 

·       Library Conceptual Design 

·       Summer Events 

·       Truth & Reconciliation Week 

·       Other City and Ward Issues 

·       Question & Answer Period
