Show Your Support for The Traditional Christmas Dinner with These Fundraisers

The Westman and Area Traditional Christmas Dinner Committee are busy preparing the 2024 edition of the dinner. A crucial part of their preparations includes not only raising awareness for the dinner but also raising funds in order to facilitate the dinner. "It's always nice to receive something in return for a donation and thanks to generous support from some key sponsors, the WTCD committee set up a few ways you can help out," said WTCD Media Relations Director Frank McGwire.

The WTCD committee reminds the public to circle their calendars for a few fundraisers. “Our first big fundraiser will be the auction fundraiser will be held on the Prairie Lanes Auction website (Prairie Lane Auction) December 2nd – 13th. People can bid on many great items donated by local businesses. Businesses who would like to donate items can contact the WTCD office at 204-728-7987," said McGwire.

Next, we hope you make plans for the fundraiser breakfast that will be held at Harvest Hall in Brandon University on Saturday, December 7th from 8 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The event is sponsored by Harvest Hall and Sunrise Credit Union and donations are gladly accepted in exchange for a hearty brekky. It’s a perfect way to start your Saturday!”

Finally, the Ticket Draw with five prizes made possible by the Law family. “The Law family has made helping the Christmas Dinner a big part of their Christmas for many years now. Their ongoing support is nothing short of fantastic and funds raised cover many expenses the dinner incurs,” said McGwire.

Tickets will be available at many local businesses in the coming days, and we’ll also have a table set up to sell tickets during an upcoming Wheat King game. Please watch our Facebook page for more details.

Volunteers are always welcome to help out. For more information visit our website www.traditional Christmas dinner.ca.
