Shoplifting Couple Arrested After Leaving Store With Several Items


Theft under / Arrest Warrant Execution

 

At approx. 1 PM Sunday, officers were called to a retail outlet in the 2600 block of Victoria Ave for a pair of shoplifters.  The suspects were seen leaving the store with a large number of stolen items. 

 

Officers located a 36-year-old male and a 29-year-old female in the 600 block of McDiarmid Drive still in possession of approx. $700 worth of stolen goods. 

 

The male was arrested for theft under $5000 and has been released with a court date of December 4. 

 

The female was arrested for possession of stolen property. She was also found to be the subject of a warrant of arrest from the Dauphin RCMP, for the charges of robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

 

She will appear in court in Brandon on December 4, and in Dauphin for the warrant charges on November 28.

 


 

Assault

At approx. 7:30 AM Sunday, police were called to a residence in the 600 block of 15th St, for an assault complaint. The complainant indicated that her partner had struck her several times in the face.  Officers located and arrested the accused, a 36-year-old male, at the residence.  He has since been released from custody with a court date of October 30.

 


 

Mischief to Property

At approx. 10 AM Sunday, police were called to the east end of Rosser Ave East, for a call of willful damage. The caller was in the area walking his dog when he noticed a male trying to enter his vehicle.  The suspect male was observed picking up a large rock and smashing the driver’s side window.  Officers attended the area and arrested the 29-year-old male suspect, who is known to police from previous involvement.  He has since been released with a court date of December 11.
