Shaina Strong is a non-profit organization with the goal of promoting awareness and education on bullying, harassment, and suicide. The Shaina Strong movement hosted our grand introduction awareness fundraiser on January 9, 2019, and since then has reached all the way from Brandon to Bonnyville Alberta, and AFN in Ottawa.
We encourage guest speakers at all our events and are proud to have shared our journey with individuals such as MMF Vice-President Leah LaPlante, Theo Fleury, Brandon Police Chief Balcaen, Constable Hamm, Army Staff Sargent McInnis, Correctional Officer Pinette, and many others with the common goal of spreading awareness.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were impacted significantly due to our hands-on approach. However, bullying, harassment, and suicide have only continued to increase. In the last year, we have made a comeback and have already hosted a number of presentations and awareness events.
Keeping true to our mission we are excited to announce we will be hosting another awareness fundraiser on October 21st, 2023 as a reminder that these issues remain prevalent everywhere. The evening will be comprised of entertainment, various guest speakers, a full dinner, a silent auction, and 50/50. All proceeds from the evening will be put towards the development and implementation of informational material and workshops which will be made available to the general public.
The 2023 Edition of Shaina Strong aka 3 X The Charm - Still Promoting No Harm features entertainment by musical groups Vertigo and The Slim Jim Trio, an Elvis impersonator, guest speakers; Brandon Mayor Jeff Fawcett, Fire Chief Terry Parlow, Leah Laplante, and Zander's dad Cody Campbell. Save the date: Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at the Clarion Hotel & Suites Brandon.
Cocktails at 5:00 p.m. Supper at 6:00 p.m. Entertainment, 50/50, silent auction and more 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
