Police Uncover a Firearm During Traffic Stop

Possession of a Firearm

 

At 12:29 pm, Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of 1st St and Maryland Ave and found the driver to be prohibited from driving.

 

During a vehicle search following the arrest, Police located a loaded shotgun in the vehicle. 

 

As a result, two 24-year-old males were arrested and held for court.

 

Breach of Undertaking

At 4:56 pm, Police located an 18 year old male in the 500 block of 8th St when they were attending to a call relating to a disturbance. The male was with a female that he was on conditions not to contact. He was arrested and lodged for court in the morning.

 

Breach of Release Order

At 1:11 am, Police attended to the 800 block of Pacific Ave in relation to a disturbance call. Upon dealing with the 29 year old male, he initially provide a false name to Police. Once his true identity was learned it was determined he was breaching numerous conditions of his released order. He was arrested for 4 counts of Breach of Release order and was held for court in the morning.

 

Other arrests

Five other individuals were arrested for outstanding warrants and breach of the peace related issues.
