You’re invited to a community celebration! Brandon University will host a parade and rally to celebrate the BU Bobcats’ historic victory at the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. The Bobcats won the national title on March 23, 2025, at home, marking the first-ever national championship for the volleyball program and the fifth national title in Brandon University’s history.
The celebration will kick off with a parade on Friday, April 4 at 12:00 p.m.. Fans are encouraged to line 20th Street from the HLC (Healthy Living Centre) to show their support and cheer for the team as they make their way through the heart of the Brandon University Campus.
The parade will feature a fire and police escort that will begin at Fire Hall No. 1, travelling along 18th Street and then turning onto Princess Avenue. The players and coaching staff will be riding in emergency vehicles, escorted through the streets by first responders.
Once the parade reaches 20th Street, the team will disembark and walk up 20th Street toward the HLC, where the rally will take place. Fans are encouraged to line the streets along the Gold Zone, the area closest to the HLC, to give an electric welcome to the National Champions!
Following the parade, the team and staff will gather at the HLC main gym for the rally, which will begin at 12:30 PM. The rally will include speeches from players, coaches, and Brandon University officials, as well as a celebration of this historic achievement in Bobcats history.
The Brandon University Bobcats invite the entire community to join them in celebrating this extraordinary achievement. Let’s fill the streets with gold and pride as we celebrate the Bobcats’ first-ever national volleyball title!
