Following a highway accident on Saturday morning at approximately 7:40 a.m. in the RM of Minto Odanah (near Neepawa), one of the vehicles went into the ditch and caught fire. RCMP believe the vehicle was travelling Road 106 West when it went into the ditch.
Personnel from a local fire department extinguished the fire and according to RCMP, an elderly man was found deceased inside the vehicle.
Neepawa RCMP along with a forensic collision deconstructionist continue their investigation at the crash site in order to identify the deceased person.
