Man With Outstanding Impaired Driving Warrant Found Passed Out on a Bus

For the last 24 hours:

 

Warrant Executed Prohibited Driving, Impaired Driving

On July 23rd, 2022 at approximately 5:00 P.M. a report was received from Brandon Transit of a male passed out on a bus.  Police attended and woke the male up.   A CPIC search was conducted and he was found to have an outstanding warrant for Impaired Driving, Drive Over .08, Prohibited Driving and Fail to Attend Court.  The 33-year male was held to appear in court in the morning. 

 

Warrant executed for Theft Under 5,000

On July 23rd, 2022 shortly before 10:00 A.M police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 4th street.  One of the occupants in the vehicle was found to have an endorsed warrant for her arrest.  A 45 year female from Brandon was taken into custody and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court on September 19th, 2022.

 

Assault

On July 23rd, 2022 at approximately 4:40 P.M. police received a report of a female screaming and a possible disturbance in the 1600 block of Victoria Avenue.  Upon police arrival, a female victim was found to have been assaulted by a male.  The male was taken into custody and released on an Undertaking with conditions.   The 26-year-old Brandon resident is set to appear in court on August 18th, 2022.

 

Operation while Impaired, Operation with Equal to or Exceeding 80mg/%

On July 23, 2022, shortly after 10:00 P.M. a report was received regarding a female who appeared intoxicated getting into a vehicle in the 3700 block of Centennial.  Police located the vehicle and observed signs that the driver could be impaired.  The vehicle was stopped in the 200 block of 21st street.  The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was taken into custody.  The female driver provided samples of her breath for analysis and was found to be over the legal limit.  The 25-year-old Brandon resident was released for court on August 2nd, 2022.

Warrant Executed Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference

 

On July 24th, 2022 at 02:10 A.M.  a traffic stop was initiated for speeding in the 600 block of Richmond Avenue.  A passenger in the vehicle was checked on CPIC and found to have an endorsed warrant for their arrest.  A 21-year-old subject from Sandy Bay was taken into custody and released to appear in Portage Provincial Court on September 13th, 2022.
