Assault with a Weapon
At 7:00 am, Police were called to an address on Cornell Bay for a report of an assault. The female victim stated the 34-year-old male dragged her out of her bed and struck her twice with a baseball bat. The victim and the accused were previously in a relationship. The accused was located a few blocks away and was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and breaching his Undertaking. The accused was held for court.
Breach of Undertaking
At 8:17 pm, Police attended to a call of a possible assault on Cornell Bay. The female victim reported being assaulted by the 20-year-old male who was arrested and charged with Assault. He was released and Undertaken for court at a later date.
Assault Police Officer
At 10:29 pm Police were called to the area of 34th St and Richmond Ave as a taxi driver was having issues with a female in their cab. The 25-year-old female was intoxicated and causing problems in the cab and when the operator attempted to phone in the problem she grabbed him by the ear and grabbed at his phone. She was located in the area after exiting the cab and while in Police custody proceeded to kick one of the officers in the stomach. She was arrested and charged with assaulting the officer and the taxi driver and later released on an Undertaking for court.
Other Arrests:
Six other people were arrested on outstanding warrants and for breach of the peace.
