Assault
On July 19, 2022, police received a report of several assaults which had taken place over the past few months involving the same suspect and victim. Investigation revealed that the 29-year-old male suspect had physically assaulted the victim on several separate occasions, threatened to kill them, and caused damage to their property. At the time of all the altercations, the suspect was highly intoxicated. He was also found to be subject to a Parole Order with conditions not to consume alcohol. Police located and arrested the suspect. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, Uttering Threats, Mischief to Property Under $5000, Administer Noxious Substance, and Breach of Parole.
IPDA
On July 20, 2022, at approximately 3:40 pm, police responded to the 3000 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of a highly intoxicated male who had small children with him. Police located the 41-year-old male suspect and the children. The children were returned to the care of their mother and the suspect was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober. He was in no condition to care for himself and had no one else to care for him.
On July 21, 2022, at approximately 12:26 pm, police responded to the 100 block of McTavish Avenue East for a report of an intoxicated male. The 47-year-old male was located. He was in no condition to care for himself and had no one else to care for him. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On July 20, 2022, police located and arrested a 40-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding Winnipeg Police Service charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was released to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court on October 19, 2022.
Breach of Peace
On July 20, 2022, shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance in the area of Maple Ridge Crescent. The 18-year-old male suspect was intoxicated causing problems at his parent’s residence and they wanted him removed. To prevent his actions from continuing, he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Fail to Comply with Court Order
On July 21, 2022, at approximately 12:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1200 block of 10th street. Police located the 34-year-old female suspect intoxicated and passed out in a residence. Investigation revealed that she was subject to a court order with conditions not to consume alcohol. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on September 15, 2022, on Fail to Comply with Undertaking charges.
