Little Chief’s Place Re-Opens!
It’s been five months since an attempted ATM theft left Little Chiefs Place in shambles. Today, the owners and their staff are pleased to announce the store is open for business.
Back in early June of this year (2022) thieves rammed a truck into the store, tied the store’s Automated Teller Machine to the vehicle and sped away, ripping the machine through the main doors of the building, and leaving behind a trail of destruction.
According to police reports, the culprits had the truck right inside the store but when they noticed the police, they sped off causing the ATM to snap off only to be left behind in the store. The suspects then lead Brandon Police cruisers on a high-speed chase which eventually left the truck stuck in a creek bank a short distance south of Little Chief’s Place. One of the suspects was arrested there while the other one was caught shortly after a short foot race with BPS officers. Estimated damages to the store currently total 400K +
The store and gas bar located at 2025 – Lyndale Drive (off 18th Street South) opened its new doors on Tuesday, November 1st.
