Submitted by Jordan Old Memorial Golf Tournament Committee
Purpose
1. Memory of Jordan Old
2. Donation to STARS Ambulance in Jordan's name (as they transported him to Winnipeg in attempt to save his life)
Backstory
Ryon Barnesky (Tournament Vice-President), sent the committee members a text one day asking if we would be interested in putting something together with people that we know and who knew Jordan in memory of him one day.
Without a second thought, the other five committee members were all over this idea (Kyle Demers- President, Derian Penziwol- Treasurer, Braden Fisher- Director, Kyle Malyon- Director, Kyle Campbell- Director). We were hoping to originally have enough to maybe have a team per hole on the front nine at Wheat City Golf Course (where Jordan golfed and was a member) and hoped to have some prizes for the golfers with the remainder going to STARS as a small donation in his name.
What we did not know was the amount of interest that the tournament was going to have with the amount of support from businesses. The tournament filled up before we had the opportunity to post that registration was open as word got out about the tournament and businesses were getting in with donations left and right.
As of today (August 4th), the tournament has 188 golfers signed up with a waiting list as well as each hole having a hole sponsor from local businesses.

The tournament is taking place on August 11th at Wheat City Golf Course with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. This will be the first annual tournament and are excited to keep this going for years to come.
We would like to thank all businesses, golfers, and volunteers for this event in making this an event that Jordan would have been very proud of.
