The 2nd annual Bike Show and Shine was a sensational success at Sand Hills Casino! Nearly 700 bike owners rode their magnificent machines down Highway 5 to enjoy the free BBQ and live entertainment as well as get in on the cash draws. Just under 1000 barbecued burgers were served. A huge thanks to all who made it out!
The best-in-show winner was this 1975 Shovel Chopper! The detail on this bike is astounding. Brent Law of Iron Craft spent hundreds of hours designing and welding the bike to his liking. It truly is a one-of-a-kind bike! One of the things judges were looking for was originality, you couldn't get a more unique-looking bike. In fact, this was the only custom-welded chopper on the lot out of nearly 700 bikes! There were 6 random cash prize winners who each received $200.00.
Honourable mentions went to Rick Warkentin who brought his Custom 1942 Harley Davidson 45ci Flathead, 2000 Heritage Softail (Nicole Dube is the owner. She was the winner in last year's Show & Shine at Sand Hills), and Duane Ennes who brought his 2012 Harley Davidson Road King.
Your Town Today" Host Frank McGwire emceed the event and took time out from behind the mic to peruse some of the bikes and talk to their owners in the Sand Hills parking lot. Check out the video below!
