Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Arrest Warrant
On January 3, 2023, at approximately 1:30 am, police attended to a residence in the 3300 block of McDonald Ave in search of a 45-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with a Release Order X5, Breach of Release Order X5, Break and Enter, Break and Enter with Intent, Mischief to Property Under $5,000, Theft Under X2, and Breach of Undertaking.
The 45-year-old male was located and arrested inside the residence. He was found to be in possession of approximately 16 grams of methamphetamine. As a result, the male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as the outstanding charges.
While police were investigating the incident in the 3300 block of McDonald Ave, they observed two firearms within the residence. The tenant from the residence did not possess a valid firearms licence.
As a result, police seized the firearms and arrested a 28-year-old male for Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2. The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today
