After a hiatus during the COVID pandemic, Manitobaville returned. The annual contest coordinated by Bell Media Stations in Manitoba offers the opportunity for communities throughout the province to submit video entries explaining how they would use the $25,000 prize money if they won. In previous years, winners of Manitobaville have been able to renovate rec centres, bolster beach fronts, makeover movie theatres and develop daycares. The contest was designed to not only help Manitoba communities benefit but to bolster tourism throughout the province.

In Deloraine's case, the local golf course was the focal point of their Manitobaville entry. The committee of coordinators in the southwestern Mantioba town with a population of approximately 1200 (according to 2022 census reports) posted on its Facebook page that the clubhouse at the golf course is in dire need of repairs. In fact, the list of repairs is too long to share on the page.

The committee extended a huge thank you to Nick Dietrich for putting together the video entry that perfectly encapsulates the essence of the Deloraine Golf Club and the important place it has in their community and how crucial the repairs are. The video can be viewed here

Glenboro, Melita, Pinawa, and Portage were also finalists in Manitobaville 2022.
