Looking Forward

- Bridge girder delivery and the erection will continue until mid-April 2023, resulting in a short-term closure of Stickney Avenue between 19th and 17th Streets North, to facilitate girder installations.

Stickney Avenue is tentatively scheduled to be closed to the motoring public for a portion of March 2023 for girder installation.

- The crane currently erected in the construction area will be relocated to the North side of CP Tracks in February.

- Bridgework within the existing construction areas, involving both sides of Stickney Avenue is ongoing.

- General site security, snow clearing, traffic device cleaning and cleanup is ongoing.

- Pacific Avenue, East of 18th Street North has reopened for the winter months, however, the Pacific Avenue loop remains closed.

- Pedestrian bridge trusses will be erected.

Vehicular Traffic Implications to Note

- A detour to Advance Autobody and Kansteel via 20th St. remains in place. Signage directing the motoring public is clearly visible.

- The Pacific Avenue loop (moves traffic under the existing 18th Street bridge on the south side of the rail tracks) as well as Pacific Avenue between 15th Street and 18th Street
remains closed to vehicular traffic.

- Stickney Avenue will be closed for a short duration during the winter construction phase between 19th and 17th Streets North to facilitate girder installations across Stickney Avenue.

The next update will be distributed the week of February 10th, 2023
