The Latest COVID Outbreak at Fairview Home is Now Into Week Three

The latest COVID-19 Outbreak at Fairview Home was first reported on October 21, 2022. The peak numbers of this outbreak were 31 positive cases causing 30 residents to be isolated. 

Currently, there are 7 positive COVID cases and a total of 8 residents in isolation on the 1st floor and on the 3rd floor, there are presently 2 positive cases and 7 total residents in isolation. The Outbreak on the 4th floor has been declared over as of November 4, 2022. It is anticipated the other two floors will soon be COVID-free as well.
 

The long-term personal care home, located at 1351 13th Street, maintains its top priority is the care of the residents in the 248-bed facility. Therefore, regular checks are done – at minimum hourly and more frequently as needed. Additional nurses, health care aides and clerical staff have been brought in as needed to deal with the Outbreak.

Designated Family Caregivers are still allowed to visit during this outbreak as per the site’s previous visitation process. During visits, the same precautions and provisions related to PPE- (mask, goggles, gown and gloves)/hand hygiene/self-screening or screening by a staff member will continue to be followed.
