Robbery/Theft:
On December 16, 2022, at 6:56 pm, police were dispatched to an incident that had occurred at a business located in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue East. Police learned that two females, who were in the process of stealing merchandise, had assaulted a staff member.
One of the females, aged 24 years, assaulted a staff member while fleeing the business. The two females were located and arrested in the 100 block of 1st Street. The 24 year old female has been charged with Robbery and the second female, 27 years of age, has been charged with Theft Under $5000.00.
The females were detained at the Brandon Police Service and later released with future court dates.
Breach of Probation/Assault Police Officer:
On December 16, 2022, at 11:02 pm, police attended a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of 17th Street. Police located an intoxicated male youth who was not abiding by his curfew. The male youth was arrested for the curfew matter and was taken to hospital for medical clearance. While at the hospital, the youth proceeded to spit on one of the officers. The youth was subsequently arrested and charged with Assaulting a Police Officer. The youth was detained at the Brandon Police Service and will appear before a Justice regarding the matter.
Breach of Peace:
On December 16, 2022, at 10:09 pm, police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 1600 block of Stickney Avenue. A 28 year old intoxicated male was arrested for Breach of Peace. The male was detained at the Brandon Police Service to be released when sober.
