CITY OF BRANDON CITY PLAN CELEBRATION
Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon's Planning & Buildings Department is inviting all residents to a City Plan Celebration event on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Princess Park*. The purpose of this event is to celebrate community collaboration efforts in the process of building the City Plan. This is also an opportunity for residents to get involved with the City Plan if they have not already done so.
This come-and-go event will include family-friendly games and activities, live music by local musicians The Fraggles, and local food trucks will be offering food for purchase. Portions of 8th and 9th Street between Princess Avenue and Lorne Avenue will be closed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Family-friendly activities will be based on key City Plan themes, which include Inclusive Neighbourhoods, Transportation, and Climate Change.
In addition, local skateboarding store Recovery Skateshop will be offering skateboard lessons starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Kristopher Campbell Memorial Skate Plaza.
