Brandon Police Use Security Footage To Catch Shoplifter After His Second Attempt At The Same Store

Theft Under $5000 X2

On September 1, 2022, police responded to a report of a male who stole merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Rosser Ave shortly after 11:00 am.  Security footage assisted police in identifying the 28-year-old male suspect, who was later located and arrested.  Police learned that he was the suspect in a separate theft from the same business on August 30, 2022.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 X2.

Assault with a Weapon

On September 1, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence shortly after 11:00 am.  Investigation revealed that the 19-year-old female suspect struck the adult male victim following a breakdown in their relationship.  He did not require any medical attention.  The suspect was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 6, 2022 on charges of Assault with a Weapon and Assault.

Arrest Warrants

On September 1, 2022, a 30-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  She was later released to appear in court on September 29, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On September 1, 2022, police located and arrested a 37-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released to appear in court on September 29, 2022.

On September 1, 2022, police located and arrested a 23-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Fail to Stop When Being Pursued, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Fail to Comply with Release Order X2, and Break and Enter.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On September 1, 2022, police located and arrested a 42-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud Over $5000.  She was later released to appear in court on September 29, 2022.

On September 2, 2022, police located and arrested a 27-year-old female who was wanted don outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  She was later released and will appear in court on September 29, 2022.
