Brandon Man Charged With Assault By Choking

Assault by Choking

On September 7, 2023, shortly after 10:00 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The adult female victim received minor injuries after she was struck with a broom and choked by the 20-year-old male.  Before fleeing the residence, the male suspect broke her TV.

 

The male was located and arrested at approximately 2:30 p.m.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Mischief Under $5000, Assault with a Weapon, and Assault by Choking.

 


 

 

Mischief Under $5000

On September 6, 2023, police responded to a report of a female suspect breaking a window at a residence in the 300 block of 4th Street.  Security footage captured the suspect’s image which assisted police in identifying her. 

 

On September 7, 2023, the 36-year-old female was located and arrested.  She was later released to appear in court this fall.

 


 

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 7, 2023, police responded to a report of a 27-year-old male who was breaching a condition of his release, by not keeping his ankle monitoring bracelet charged.  He was located arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 


 

 

IPDA

On September 7, 2023, shortly before midnight, police received information of an intoxicated male in the 100 block of McTavish Ave E.  The male was in no condition to care for himself, an ha nowhere to go.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 


 

 

Arrest Warrants

On September 8, 2023, shortly after 1:00 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint at an apartment building in the 200 block of 9th Street.  One of the residence's occupants was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of failure to Comply with Probation.  The 36-year-old female was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 2, 2023.

 

On September 7, 2023, a 30-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service as she was aware she was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released to appear in court on November 16, 2023.
