Brandon, MB – Brandon City Council is recognizing Monday, September 19 as a day of mourning to honour Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. 

 

The regular City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2022 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. 

 

"We join with millions of citizens around the world in mourning the passing of our Queen," stated Mayor Rick Chrest. "On behalf of Brandon City Council, I encourage all of us to reflect on the remarkable legacy that Queen Elizabeth II has left."   

 

Earlier this week, the City of Brandon announced that two books of condolence have been placed in the City Hall Foyer. All members of the public are welcome to sign books of condolence for the duration of the period of mourning at Brandon City Hall, which has been extended to Tuesday, September 20th, 2022.
