BPS Report More Hammer Mischief

Mischief Under $5000

 

On the afternoon of 2023-11-05, police received a report of an individual who was walking around the 1400 block of 1st, smashing windows while wearing a ski mask and in possession of a hammer.  At the time, police located and arrested the individual, resulting in him being held in custody. 

 

A follow-up police investigation found the 25-year-old male to be responsible for damaging a window to a business nearby.

 

On 2023-11-14, the accused was charged while in custody and will appear before the court 2023-11-15, for the charge of Mischief Under $5000.

 


 

 

Sexual Assault

On 2023-09-03, police received a report from a 17-year-old female that she had previously stayed overnight at an address on Woodhaven Drive, when she woke up to discover a 40-year-old male of the address to be touching her sexually. 

 

On 2023-11-14, police arrested and released the suspect with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-18, for the charge of Sexual Assault.

 


 

 

Warrant

On the afternoon of 2023-11-14, police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue with a female who was known to have outstanding warrants.  A 29-year-old has been lodged at BPS to appear in court on 2023-11-15.

 


 

Assault

On the afternoon of 2023-11-14, police received a report from a 24-year-old female that she had been assaulted by her 21-year-old spouse while at a residence in the 100 block of Frederick Street.  The accused has been charged and released with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-18 for the charge of Assault.

 


 

Warrant

On the afternoon of 2023-11-14, police attended to a disturbance at a residence on Willowdale Crescent.  A check of police records for one of the occupants revealed an outstanding warrant.  A 38-year-old male has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-17.

 


 

Drive While Prohibited

On the afternoon of 2023-11-14, police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1000 block of 13th Street.  A check of police records revealed the operator to be Prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.  A 26-year-old male has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-18, for the charge of Operation of a Conveyance while Prohibited.

 


 

 

Warrant

On the evening of 2023-11-14, police received a request from an individual for advice.  A check of police records revealed that the 39-year-old male requesting the advice also had an outstanding warrant of arrest. 

The individual has subsequently lodged a BPS to appear in court on 2023-11-15.

 


 

 

Breach of Peace X2

On the evening of 2023-11-14, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of Durham Drive.  The problem was determined to be two intoxicated brothers who were aggressive with each other and belligerent with police.  To prevent a continuation of disruptive behaviour, the 20 and 21-year-old males were lodged at BPS until sober.

 


 

 

Warrant

On 2023-11-15, police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 0 hundred block of 10th Street with a female who was known to have outstanding warrants.  The 30-year-old has been lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-11-15.

 


 

 

Breach of Peace

On 2024-11-15, police received a report from a resident in the 1600 block of 7th Street that a suspicious male was prowling around the neighborhood. 

 

A 37-year-old male was subsequently lodged at BPS until morning to prevent a continuation of disruptions to the public.
