B & E Suspects Found Locked In Storage Room


Break and Enter – Two Suspects Arrested

 

On May 3, 2023 shortly before 7:00 am, police responded to a report from a homeowner in the 500 block of 7th street that an individual had broken in and locked themselves into a utility/storage room.  When police arrived, they discovered two individuals who had broken in.

 

The 40-year-old male resisted police efforts to arrest him.  Once he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a large knife, a steel pry bar and a number of other break in tools.

 

The 25-year-old female suspect was arrested without incident.

 

The investigation also revealed that the suspects caused damage to the doors and electrical wiring.

 

The suspects were lodged at Brandon Police Service.  The female suspect was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the male suspect.  She appeared in court on charges of Break and Enter Commit Mischief and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

The male suspect appeared on charges of Break and Enter Commit Mischief, Possess Break in Tools, Possess Weapon, and Resist Arrest.

 

 

 


 

 

Mischief Under $5000

On May 3, 2023 at approximately 8:00 am, police responded to a report of a male sleeping in a vehicle at a business in the 1500 block of Richmond Ave.  The vehicle was being repaired at the business and the male suspect was not the owner of the vehicle.  The suspect was moved along, but he returned several hours later and again entered another vehicle to sleep.  When police returned to arrest him, he resisted by attempting to run away.  Following his arrest, he was later released to appear in court on June 29, 2023 on charges of Mischief Under $5000 and Resist Arrest.

 



 

 

Mischief Under $5000

On May 3, 2023 shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male kicking a car in a parking lot near the 800 block of Pacific Ave.  Police located and arrested the 22-year-old male.  He was later released to appear in court on June 26, 2023 on charges of Mischief Under $5000.

 


 

 

Theft Under $5000

On May 2, 2023, police received a report of an individual who stole meat from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the suspect.  On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested the 31-year-old male who was also to abide by conditions not to attend the business.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 


 

 

Breach of Peace

On May 3, 2023, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of Princess Ave shortly after 2:00 pm.  A 20-year-old female was behaving in a threatening manner towards the employees.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent her behavior from continuing.

 


 

 

Breach of Peace

On May 4, 2023 at approximately 12:30 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated individual fighting with her family at their residence.  The 27-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent her actions from continuing or escalating.

On May 4, 2023 at approximately 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated 30-year-old male fighting with his sister at their residence.  The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from continuing or escalating.

 


 

 

Fraud Use of Credit Card

On April 24, 2023, police received a report from a victim that their credit card had been stolen, and then used at a local business to make purchases.  Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the suspect. 

 

On May 3, 2023, the 17-year-old male suspect attended to Brandon Police Service to turn himself in.  Following his arrest, he was released to a parent.  He will appear in court on June 27, 2023 on a charge of Fraud Use of Credit Card.

 


 

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On May 4, 2023, police responded to a 911 call from a residence.  Upon their arrival, police located a 30-year-old female who was not to be at the home, or have contact with the owner.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 


 

 

Stolen Vehicle – Recovered

On May 4, 2023, at approximately 3:30 am, police observed a black dodge truck being driven erratically.  When the driver saw police, they took off.  Police soon located the truck parked and unoccupied in the 1100 block of 7th street.  Police contacted the owner, who had not realized the vehicle was missing.  It had been stolen earlier in the evening from Hawthorn Cres.

Arrest Warrants

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 46-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.  She was later released to appear in court on June 26, 2023.

 

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 28-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court.

 

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 16-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief Under $5000.  She was later released to appear in court on a later date.

 

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 37-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. She was later released to appear in court on June 26, 2023.

 

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 53-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Assault with a Weapon.  She was later released to appear in court on June 26, 2023.

 

On May 3, 2023, police located and arrested a 24-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

On May 3, 2023, a 36-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking attended to Brandon Police Service to turn himself in.  He was lodged and will appear in court today.
