Assault with a Weapon
On June 2, 2022, police responded to a report of a suspect who was attempting to steal merchandise from a business in the 1500 block of 18th street shortly after 4:00 pm. An employee of the business confronted the 27-year-old male suspect but was punched. The suspect then threw potted plants and a metal sign, striking a second employee. The victims did not require medical attention.
As the suspect left the business, he continued to throw potted plants at the windows. He was located and arrested nearby, and was lodged at Brandon Police Service. He will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault, Mischief to Property and Theft Under $5000.
