Another Jump in Prices at The Pumps

Gas Prices Continue to Soar

Gas prices, how high is too high for you?

The astronomical rise in gas prices is a grim situation these days. Some sources say it’s due to the war in Ukraine while others say it’s part of the “Green New Deal” ideology. Either way, you look at it, the price of fuel is distressing for many who rely on their personal vehicles for transportation. As of this morning (Tuesday, June 7, 2022), there were still a few stations offering fuel as low as $196.9/L. However, the price per litre at most filling stations has jumped over the two-dollar mark to 207.9.

In May the lowest average price across Canada was 179.9/L. Today, the average price across Canada has ballooned to 205.7/L with Brandon’s pump prices slightly above our nation’s average price. The highest price in Canada is currently around the 235.9/L mark in Vancouver. The province with the lowest average price at the pumps is Alberta at 189.9/L.

There are still a few stations in the Westman area at 197.9/L but one has to wonder, is it even worth driving around to find them?
