Brandon, MB - Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022: 

·       a vote of the City of Brandon will be taken to elect one (1) Mayor and one (1) Councillor for each of the ten wards  

·       a vote of the Brandon School Division will be taken to elect eight (8) City Ward trustees  

 

Each candidate has been duly nominated. The candidates have been listed in the order they will appear on the applicable ballots.

VOTING PLACES 

Electors may vote at the Voting Place within their ward which they find most convenient. Voting stations will be open for voting on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The location of voting places will be available shortly.  

 

IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE 

A person will be required to produce one piece of government-issued photo identification (e.g., driver's license) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity and residence or property ownership. 

  

ADVANCE VOTING 

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on Election Day, advance voting opportunities will be held: 

  

Wednesday, October 12th        8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at City Hall, 410 – 9th Street 

Thursday, October 20th             10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at City Hall, 410 – 9th Street 

Saturday, October 22nd              10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Pioneer Lounge,  
                                                          Keystone Centre, #1 1175 18th Street  

 

MOBILE VOTING 

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, and reside at the following facilities, mobile voting stations will be set up on Election Day at:

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE 

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance may apply to vote by sealed envelope. To apply, a voter must apply in person or by writing to the Senior Election Official at 410 – 9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 6A2, or via email to brandonvotes@brandon.ca.  

  

A voter applying by mail will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or through alternative arrangements made with the Senior Election Official.  

 

The deadline for applications is October 23, 2022. Please contact the Senior Election Official to request an application or for more information.
